My role

Styles, components, and patterns

I have contributed to the visual and behavioral design of styles, components, and patterns in our libraries and software development kits. I collaborated with product and engineering counterparts daily to translate concepts across multiple technology platforms.

We have adapted our component builds to use industry best practices such as content slots and nested properties, shown here in our card component. Each Figma component features contextual documentation and links back to our general documentation site.



System architecture

I helped design and implement our end-to-end design token distribution system, and have led system architecture revisions to accommodate new layers of complexity such as multiple color modes and layout density variants.


Re-designing the system architecture to accommodate both color and scalar themes.


Team processes

I have played a key role in standardizing team processes, such as component review and visual regression testing, to ensure efficiency and quality.

Support and documentation

I have written documentation for varied audiences and provided personalized support to product line clients in 1-on-1 and team settings. I created onboarding materials for new designers that introduce the system and related resources. 

Documentation for each of our components includes general usage, accessibility, content, and platform-specific guidance. Onboarding materials for new designers introduce Pulse and its resources, and include interactive tutorials in Figma.


Tool evangelism

In the early days of the design system, our team led the transition from Sketch to Figma. Despite minimal prior experience with the tool, I learned best practices and then led trainings for product designers, product managers, content strategists, and developers on our new tool.

Sharing our work

Within Teladoc Health, I have presented on behalf of my team to audiences spanning design, product, and engineering with a focus on education and system adoption. I also shared our work on Pulse in a webinar in the Design Systems, Diners, and Drives series hosted by Zeroheight.
