Preparing for international markets
Redesigning the Livongo Health member experience for translation.
Challenge
Livongo Health was preparing to launch multi-language support for its chronic condition management products and needed to ensure a seamless user experience with translated and localized content.
Objective
Enable Livongo members to access the diabetes management program across web, mobile, and connected blood glucose meter experiences in their preferred language.
My role
As the lead designer on this initiative, I was responsible for all design concepts and user acceptance testing. I worked in close coordination with the content strategy team, as well as product management and engineering.
Approach
Work on this initiative fell into two main categories:
Enable members to select their preferred language
I designed region and language pickers for different parts of the experience. I collaborated with back-end engineering to define logic for guessing preferred language based on the member’s account information at registration and their device preferences.
